What is Army Credentialing Assistance?

Also known as Army CA, the Army Credentialing Assistance program provides a grant of up to $4,000 for military members or veterans enrolling in a career training program. You can train for a position related to your current Military Operations Specialty or earn the credentials to start a new career. All medical certification training programs offered by ACT meet the military’s standards for the Army CA program.

Check Out Army Credentialing Opportunities Online (Army COOL)

Army COOL is a website that provides active and retired military personnel with resources about civilian certifications, apprenticeships, and licenses they can pursue with financial help from the military. The website offers extensive information about military and non-military occupations, including the education you need to pursue them and how to obtain them.

Features of the Army CA Program

The Army CA program provides up to $4,000 for you to use towards tuition, books, and miscellaneous expenses each fiscal year. However, you cannot be a contracted cadet using something other than an ROTC scholarship or a Green to Gold ROTC cadet and participate in this program. You also will not receive reimbursement for anything you pay upfront.

What to Expect as an ACT Student

The Army Credentialing Assistance program provides full-coverage tuition, enabling active-duty and retired personnel to obtain technical and professional career certificates.

You are free to complete coursework and view lectures whenever it is convenient for you. Most of our certificate programs take eight weeks of full-time study to complete. However, you have access to course materials for up to 12 months if you need more time to fulfill the certificate requirements due to other obligations.

All ACT instructors are subject matter experts with direct experience working in their teaching fields. During virtual classroom sessions, your instructors will assist you with the hands-on portion of the lesson and be available for any questions you have about the training. You will participate in simulated labs where instructors use actual medical equipment.

After completing all the coursework required in your certificate program, you must pass a certification exam before you can begin working. The last module in each program consists of course review and exam preparation, so you can feel confident about your knowledge when taking the test. We include the cost of the exam as part of your total tuition.
