The CCMA exam is 150 questions and you have 3 hours to complete. It will test your knowledge on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: anatomy and physiology, the pathophysiology of human disease, pharmacology, clinical patient care, and diagnostic procedures. Explore our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) training program to learn how to prepare for the exam.
Our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) training program utilizes a clinical simulation laboratory platform called SIMTICS to virtually teach students all essential clinical skills such as measuring vital signs, administering injections, obtaining swabs and cultures, assisting with minor surgical procedures, adult and pediatric assessments, obtaining thorough medical/medication history and much more. Through SIMTICS our students not only familiarize themselves with essential clinical skills but can also perform and practice with virtual patients. Additionally, our course includes interactive laboratory assignments, virtual phlebotomy training, and interactive ECG labs. Furthermore, this course includes BLS training (through the American Heart Association) where we virtually teach how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
We also provide an option to send students a venipuncture/injection practice kit which includes authentic medical equipment such as a dummy arm, needles, syringes, lancets, requisition order, vials, patient prep supplies etc. directly to your home. Students can practice performing venipuncture and injections hands-on as they work through virtual clinic simulations with the kit.
Yes. To enroll in our program, you must be an undergraduate, graduate, or post-baccalaureate student with plans/interests to apply to or begin PA, medical, or nursing. Our mission is to provide students who are pursuing an advanced healthcare profession with an opportunity to obtain a clinical certification that will enable them to gain healthcare experience/ direct patient care hours necessary for their respective programs. Therefore, we created the most affordable and convenient CCMA training program in America strictly for health science / pre-health students.
Our program is strictly for pre-health students currently seeking or hold a bachelor’s degree with plans to attend medical, PA, or nursing school. Our course is built on an undergraduate health science curriculum which ties in clinical and patient care training. For this reason, our program is much shorter than others however we cover all main topics set by our credentialing body, National HealthCareer Association (NHA). Our curriculum covers all essential training and we offer the same nationally accredited certification as other MA programs which require 1.5-2 years of study.
As stated, our program sought to shorten this time frame at a much more affordable cost so pre-health students can easily become certified and enter the workforce to gain the clinical experience and training they need prior to their respective programs. Our CCMA national certification exam pass rate on the first attempt is 100%.
Yes. You must be enrolled in one of our pre-health mentorship programs. Once you have completed the mentorship/advising program, you can request a letter of evaluation (LOE) from our MD, PA, DMD, or PharmD advisor.
*Note: This should not replace one of 3 required letters for your application to PA, medical, or nursing school. Most applications require at least 2 letters written from professors and 1 letter written from a clinician you have directly worked with. If you plan to request an evaluation letter, please use it as a supplemental letter for your applications to show your clinical competency and enthusiasm for medicine/ direct patient care.
If you are a current high school student planning to major in pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing, pre-physical therapy then you are welcome to take our course! It will set a strong clinical foundation for your pre-health curriculum/ health science course work.
Our curriculum builds on health science prerequisites. Therefore, we encourage high school students to have a general biology/ anatomy understanding from high school before starting the course. Instructors provide constant feedback and assistance to help all of our students master the clinical concepts and skills.
